The Dvora craft of the Sri Lanka Navy, which faced a mishap in the Angulana sea area yesterday (15), is submerged by now, the Sri Lanka Navy said.
Operations to retrieve the craft today (16) commenced, Navy Media Spokesman Commodore Chaminda Walakuluge stated. However, obstacles arose for the relevant operation due to rough seas, he further stated.
Meanwhile, the search for the missing sailor continues.
Eleven sailors were rescued from the distressed craft and currently in stable condition, receiving medical treatment, the Navy stated.
