Dengue deaths reported in Sri Lanka rose to 71.
The National Dengue Control Unit stated that 93,115 total dengue patients were identified in the year so far.
The number of dengue patients reported during the past 20 days of August alone stood at 7,777.
Dengue patients continue to be reported in higher numbers from the Gampaha district, with that figure recorded as 19,825.
