Growers are urged to pay attention to a ginger rhizome rot disease spreading due to the current adverse weather conditions, according to the Department of Export Agriculture.

Director General Damayanthi Samarasinghe stated that ginger, currently cultivated as a commercial crop, spans over 2,000 hectares across several areas including Kurunegala, Kandy, Matale, and Ampara.
