Cabinet approval was granted to appoint an officer committee to submit recommendations regarding the establishment of a new service category named 'Specialist Medical and Specialist Dental Services' within Sri Lanka's healthcare service.
The officer committee submitted its report after conducting a comprehensive review on the matter.
Taking into account the recommendations of that report, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by the Minister of Health and Mass Media to establish a service category named Specialist Medical and Specialist Dental Services and to appoint an officer committee chaired by the Secretary to the Ministry of Health and Mass Media to draft the service constitution applicable to that service category.
