The Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (IRCSL), the regulator of the local insurance industry, will conduct a series of public awareness programs under the theme “Insurance for All: For a Secure Future” on October 22 and 23 in Jaffna and Kilinochchi.
Organized in collaboration with the Insurance Association of Sri Lanka (IASL) and with the participation of all life and general insurance companies operating in the country, the initiative aims to raise public awareness on the importance of insurance and promote greater insurance inclusion across Sri Lanka.
In Jaffna, the program will commence on October 22 at 8:00 a.m. with a roadshow through the city, followed by an awareness workshop from 9:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Thiruvalluvar Cultural Centre Auditorium. The session will focus on the fundamentals and benefits of insurance. An evening session will target schoolchildren and university students, highlighting the ‘Suraksha’ insurance scheme and career opportunities in the insurance sector.
In Kilinochchi, the program will take place on October 23, starting with a city roadshow at 8:00 a.m., followed by an awareness session from 9:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the RS Green Bharathi Resort Hall.
