DIMO cascades EV expertise at the Mercedes-Benz Flying Doctor Service Clinic

As the global automotive industry advances toward electrification, the need for specialized technical expertise and trusted aftersales support has become progressively critical. Against this evolving backdrop, DIMO, the authorized general distributor for Mercedes-Benz, continues to strengthen its commitment to delivering world-class ownership experiences in Sri Lanka through the recently held Mercedes-Benz Flying Doctor Service Clinic 2026.

The Flying Doctor Service Clinic, led by Mercedes-Benz AG-trained expert Phisyarn Chitbanchong, is a highly specialized aftersales initiative providing customers with direct access to advanced technical expertise and precision diagnostics. Conducted daily from April 6th to 10th, it enabled structured engagement between customers and factory-level professionals.

The clinic provided a personalized service experience through one-on-one technical consultations at scheduled time slots, comprehensive vehicle assessments, and tailored recommendations aligned with each customer’s vehicle condition and usage patterns.

This reinforces DIMO's positioning as "The Home for Mercedes-Benz" in Sri Lanka, where ownership extends to a complete ecosystem of expertise, care, and long-term value.

The 2026 clinic's exclusive focus on Mercedes-Benz EQ vehicles was a defining milestone, marking DIMO's first-ever Flying Doctor Service Clinic dedicated entirely to EQ models.

This represents a timely response to both rising local EV adoption and the global shift towards sustainable mobility. Electric vehicles introduce greater engineering complexity, requiring software-driven analysis, specialized diagnostics, and battery management expertise.

"Electric mobility represents a fundamental evolution in how vehicles are engineered, maintained, and experienced; it is not just a change in drivetrain technology. We are making sure that our customers receive the best technical support possible through initiatives like the Flying Doctor Service Clinic, allowing them to fully realise the performance and value of their Mercedes-Benz EQ vehicles.” said Mahesh Karunaratne, Chief Operating Officer, Automotive Engineering Solutions.
