Sierra Cables PLC announced that its Board of Directors has approved a total capital investment of USD 3.23 million in new machinery and infrastructure to expand the company’s export production capacity in response to sustained strong demand from overseas markets.
The investment, made in accordance with Appendix 8A of the Listing Rules of the Colombo Stock Exchange, is expected to approximately double the company’s export production capacity.
The capacity expansion programme is scheduled for completion by the end of the 2026/27 financial year, with the enhanced capacity expected to become commercially operational from April 1, 2027, at the commencement of the 2027/28 financial year.
