The Old Senanayakians Group of 1986 of D. S. Senanayake College, Colombo, will host a special musical evening featuring renowned Sri Lankan musician Nalin Perera and his popular band, The Marians, on July 3.
Titled "An Evening of Timeless Melodies", the event will be held at The Grand Maitland Hotel from 7.00 p.m. onwards.
Organized as a family-friendly evening of music, dancing, and sing-along entertainment, the event aims to raise funds for development projects at D. S. Senanayake College. The initiative is part of the preparations for the college's 60th anniversary celebrations in 2027, with alumni groups joining hands to support infrastructure and educational improvements that will benefit future generations of students.
Addressing the media, President of the D. S. Senanayake College 1986 Batch, Dammika Weerakoon, highlighted the importance of alumni support in advancing the college's development goals and invited former students, their families and well-wishers to take part in the event.
Members of the organizing committee present at the media briefing included Treasurer W.A. Jayasiri Rohan and Committee Members Ushan Samaraweera, Azad Hassan and Rumy Fayaz.
The organizers have extended an open invitation to Old Senanayakians, their families and supporters to join the celebration, enjoy an evening of timeless music with Nalin Perera and The Marians, and contribute towards the continued development of D. S. Senanayake College
