Rumesh Tharanga rises to world No. 5 in javelin rankings

Sri Lankan athlete Rumesh Tharanga reached the 5th position in the world rankings for javelin throwing. He previously occupied the 7th position in the world rankings.

This marks the first time a Sri Lankan athlete reached such a high position in the world rankings. Meanwhile, Rumesh Tharanga scheduled to participate in the Rome Diamond League athletic tournament in Italy today.
