SLC expresses deep regret over passing of Sir Garfield Sobers

Profound regret is being expressed over the demise of the late former West Indies cricketer Sir Garfield Sobers, Sri Lanka Cricket stated.

Issuing a statement, the organisation mentioned that players are scheduled to wear black armbands during the Lanka Premier League matches held today (18) to pay him respect.

Furthermore, Sri Lanka Cricket noted that a one-minute silence will be observed before the commencement of the matches to honour him.
