Veteran actress Mallika Pilapitiya has passed away.

Sources stated that she passed away this morning (26).

Daisy Irene Mallika Pilapitiya was born in Hanguranketha on October 4, 1936,

She was 86 years old at the time of her death.

She acted in the film 'Rekhawa' directed by Dr. Lester James Peiris and the teledrama 'Golu Hadawatha'.

She is also the mother of actor Roshan Pilapitiya.
