The 2022 Commonwealth Games have come to an end, leaving much to be desired about the future of sports in this country.
Most of the athletes and officials who joined it seemingly made another tour to the Commonwealth Games as usual.
Sri Lanka Cricket fully sponsored this tour and had given an amount of 22.5 million rupees to the Sports Ministry.
Ten people from this contingent who went to England went missing there, adding a black mark to Sri Lanka's international reputation.
This year's Commonwealth Games also entered the record books as the international tournament where the largest number of people disappeared at once.
