Drunk man detained for firing shots into the air

A man who fired shots into the air in the Kudawella area of Tangalle is now in police custody.

Authorities stated that the individual carried out the act while in an intoxicated state.

The shooting involved a licensed firearm, and the suspect remains detained at the Tangalle Police Station.

No injuries occurred during the incident.

Police took steps to present the individual before a Judicial Medical Officer for examination.
