An accident occurred after a bus belonging to the Sri Lanka Transport Board veered off the road and overturned into a culvert while travelling along the Monaragala–Siyambalanduwa main road.
Police said 26 people were injured in the incident and were admitted to the hospital.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the driver had reportedly lost control of the moving bus, causing it to veer off the road and plunge into the culvert.
