Three suspects travelling in a car while possessing two elephant pearls were arrested along with the vehicle in the Uduwara area belonging to the Haliela police division yesterday by a team of officers from the Police Special Task Force Uduwara camp, according to Police Headquarters.
Police state that the arrested suspects are aged 21, 30 and 31.
Police mention that the suspects reside in the Haliela and Pathanawatta areas.
The suspects, elephant pearls and the car arrested by the Police Special Task Force officers were produced to the Haliela Police Station for further investigations, and Police Headquarters states that the Haliela Police conduct further investigations into this.
