Former President Gotabaya seeks order preventing his arrest under PTA

Former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa filed a petition in the Court of Appeal requesting an order to prevent his arrest under the Prevention of Terrorism Act in connection with the investigations into the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks.

The petition, filed through Attorney-at-Law Sanath Wijewardane, names the Inspector General of Police, Criminal Investigation Department Director Shani Abeysekara, and the Officer-in-Charge Madhava Gunawardhana as respondents.
