The Sri Lanka Railways Department has temporarily closed the Mulgampola railway crossing located between the Peradeniya and Kandy railway stations on the Matale railway line due to repair work.
Accordingly, this railway crossing will close completely for vehicular traffic effective from 6 p.m. today (10) until 4 a.m. on July 13.
The Mulgampola railway crossing, connects the Gatambe-Kandy Upper Road and William Gopallawa Mawatha and the access road will also be closed as a result.
The Railways Department kindly requests the public to use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion during this period.
