Sri Lanka strengthened its presence in the international food and beverage sector through its successful participation at THAIFEX – Anuga Asia 2026, one of Asia’s largest and most influential food and beverage trade exhibitions, held from May 26 to 30 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The participation was organised by the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) in collaboration with the Embassy and Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Thailand, with the objective of promoting Sri Lankan food and beverage products and expanding market opportunities across Southeast Asia and beyond.
The Sri Lanka Country Pavilion showcased a diverse range of high-quality products presented by Ceylon Food Valley Exports (Pvt) Ltd, Ellawala Horticulture (Pvt) Ltd, Renuka Agri Foods PLC, Savour Route (Pvt) Ltd, and St. Valentine DC Factory. Participating companies engaged with international buyers, distributors, retailers, and industry professionals, creating opportunities to strengthen existing partnerships and establish new commercial linkages.
In addition, the EDB facilitated a dedicated product display area for 11 export-ready Sri Lankan SMEs, enabling them to present their products to international buyers and gain valuable exposure at the global exhibition.
The Sri Lanka Pavilion was officially opened by E.A.S. Wijayanthi Edirisinghe, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Thailand, highlighting the importance of strengthening Sri Lanka’s presence in international markets through participation in leading global trade fairs.
THAIFEX – Anuga Asia is widely recognised as a premier global trade platform for the food and beverage industry, attracting manufacturers, suppliers, buyers, importers, distributors, and industry experts from around the world.
The participation at THAIFEX – Anuga Asia 2026 provided a strong platform to enhance the international visibility of Sri Lankan exporters while introducing export-ready companies to global buyers and stakeholders. It also supported efforts to deepen regional engagement and expand commercial opportunities in high-growth markets.
Organised by the EDB, the participation forms part of its ongoing strategy to promote value-added food and beverage exports, support export market diversification, and facilitate the integration of SMEs and emerging exporters into global value chains.
