The King's baton relay has made its penultimate stop before heading to Scotland for this year's Commonwealth Games.
It is the 18th official Commonwealth Games relay and, unlike previous years where a single baton travelled through all 74 Commonwealth nations and territories, each team competing at Glasgow 2026 has been given its own to decorate.
Guernsey's leg of the relay is set to take place between 25 and 30 June, with a number of events planned to mark the event, according to the island's Commonwealth Games Association.
Chair Angela Stuart said the bailiff had "gratefully received the baton" on behalf of the island, before it would be handed over to Scotland.
"This is the start of the celebrations that we're looking forward to," Stuart said.
Team Guernsey chef de misson, Peter Jory, said sixth form students decorated the baton to make it "unique to the island".
General team manager Karina Jackson said several events had been planned, including a beach clean at Pembroke on Saturday.
She said the team was was really looking forward to going to Glasgow.
She said: "All of our athletes have been training super hard.
"We're just super excited to get on the ground and support them and help them with their achievements."
