The vessel carried 650 tonnes of essential goods, including food, clothing, and other vital supplies, to support communities hardest hit by Cyclone Ditwah.
The delivery underscores the strong bonds and ongoing cooperation between India and Sri Lanka in times of crisis.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Arun Hemachandra attended the official handover, thanking India for its swift assistance, with the Deputy Indian High Commissioner in Jaffna also present.
This arrival follows the earlier deployment of India’s Landing Craft Utility vessels—LCU 54, LCU 51, and LCU 57—which reached Colombo on December 07, 2025 to deliver additional relief materials to affected areas.
