Government Agent Of Jaffna Requests For Protection

A Government Agent of Jaffna District Secretariat N. Wedanayagam made a request from the Police, to deploy police officers for the protection of the District Secretariat.

It is reported that the GA of Jaffna has extended the request in writing to the Police Superintendent’s office in Jaffna.

A group of protestors attempted to forcibly enter the District Secretariat during a protest demonstration held in front of the office, demanding the rights for lands.

Expressing his views to our news team, the Government Agent of Jaffna stated that he made the request in order to prevent such incidents from taking place in the future.
