Request from National Blood Transfusion Service

The National Blood Transfusion Service urges the public to join in donating blood in keeping with health guidelines, as the reserves of the national blood bank are depleting.

According to the National Blood Transfusion Service, donors wishing to donate blood can do so by visiting the blood donation centers in main hospitals of the country.

The National Blood Center in Narahenpita is also open for donors from 8 am to 6 pm.

The National Blood Transfusion Service further stated that appointments could be made to donate blood by visiting the website nbts.health.lk.
