Sri Lanka records over 500,000 tourist arrivals in 2025

The number of foreign tourists visiting Sri Lanka since the beginning of this year has surpassed 500,000, according to the Tourism Development Authority.

A total of 530,746 tourists have arrived in the country so far, with 37,768 visiting within the first five days of this month alone.

Sri Lanka, a tropical paradise renowned for its rich culture, stunning landscapes, and historical landmarks, has seen a significant rebound in its tourism sector in 2024/25. This represents the resilience of Sri Lanka's tourism industry and its ability to recover from the challenges it faced in recent years.
