The Hatton Railway Station is reportedly experiencing severe darkness during night-time power outages.
This is due to a lack of fuel for the station's generator.
A spokesperson for the Hatton Railway Station stated that power cuts are frequent these days due to strong winds and adverse weather conditions prevailing in the western slopes of the central hills.
Station Master Janaka Fernando confirmed that even though the station possesses a large generator, operating it is problematic because of the unavailability of fuel.
