Key associate of "Kalubowila Avishka" arrested with "Heroin" and "ICE"

Two men have been detained in the Piliyandala area of Bokundara following the seizure of a substantial quantity of illegal narcotics.

The arrests were made by the Police Special Task Force (STF), during a targeted raid.

The operation led to the confiscation of over 2kgs and 106g of heroin – along with 478g of the methamphetamine known as 'ICE'.

The STF also seized a motorcycle believed to have been used in the distribution of the drugs.

Police have confirmed that one of the suspects is known as "Kalubowila Chuti", a key associate of "Kalubowila Avishka", a well-known underworld figure and drug trafficker who is currently believed to be outside the country.

The second individual detained is his elder brother.

The suspects, aged 24 and 25 and both residents of the Piliyandala area, have been transferred to the Police Narcotics Bureau for ongoing investigations.
