Sia denies estranged husband's drug use claims, alleges he was being investigated for child pornography

Sia and her estranged husband Dan Bernad are hurling allegations at each other amid their pending divorce and child custody battle.

The 49-year-old “Chandelier” singer previously filed for divorce from Dan back in March after two years of marriage.

At the time, the former couple agreed that Sia would get full custody of their 19-month-old son Sumni, but now Dan has filed for sole legal and physical custody of the child. He’s also requesting $77,245 a month in child support, according to People.

Dan claims that Sia is “a serious and immediate danger” to their son, listing a bunch of accusations against her, including “substance abuse and addiction.” He added in the legal filing, “Sia’s conduct is reckless, dangerous and demonstrates Sia’s utter disregard for Summi’s safety and well-being.”

Sia has spoken out in response to deny the allegations and she also brought up allegations that Dan was being investigated for child pornography.

“I have been fully sober for over six months and working my program which includes weekly testing and a sober companion,” Sia wrote in her response. “My recovery has been a cornerstone of my life and one of the primary reasons I chose to separate from Dan, whose ongoing engagement in a nightlife and recreational drug-use lifestyle is incompatible with a healthy environment for our child.”

Sia claimed that Dan was being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department and the Department of Child and Family Services for allegedly having child porn on his computer hard drive. While the case was closed with findings being inconclusive, she claims she’s worried about her son being with him now.

She wrote, “While I understand the investigations of LAPD and DCFS have been inconclusive and now closed, this does not appease my concerns of Summi spending unsupervised time with Dan.”

Sia believes that Dan is only financially motivated to have custody of Sumni.

A couple weeks ago, he requested a huge amount of money for spousal support.
