Tragedy strikes students traveling to Big Match

Two students traveling to watch the annual Big Match at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium met with a collision today (02). The incident occurred near the Pallekele Army Camp, resulting in the immediate loss of one student's life.

Local residents and police officers intervened to transport the second student, who sustained critical injuries, to the Kandy Teaching Hospital for urgent medical care.
