A mobile soil laboratory costing Rs.56 million was established at the Talawakelle Tea Research Institute to examine existing soil and plant analysis activities and enhance tea industry productivity.
Small tea estate owners can obtain services free of charge under this initiative.
The opportunity exists to take these mobile soil and plant laboratories to locations where small tea estate owners are situated to solve their problems, stated Talawakelle Tea Research Institute Acting Director Mahasen Ranatunga.
