We can now bring you comments from the US president when he told reporters in Florida there is a possibility that strikes against Iran could restart.
When asked on the prospect of a return to war, Trump said that if Iran “misbehaves” or does “something bad” there is a “possibility it could happen”. But right now, “we’ll see,” he said.
Trump added that the US is “doing very well” in relation to Iran and that Tehran wants to make a deal because they are “decimated”.
“They are having a hard time figuring out who their leader is, they don’t know who their leader is,” Trump said, adding that their former leader Ali Khameni “is gone”.
Referring to the proposed 14-point plan Iran sent, Trump said: “They told me about the concept of the deal. They’re going to give me the exact wording now.”
