The Galle District Crime Division arrested two suspects for aiding and abetting the fatal shooting of a person by a group in Galle.
An armed group arriving in a car carried out the shooting on May 12, prompting a wide investigation by the Galle District Crime Division.
Based on a confidential tip-off received by officers during the investigations, the two suspects, who were allegedly involved in planning and aiding the crime, were arrested yesterday.
The arrested individuals are residents of Warakapola and Malkaduwawa, aged 37 and 46, according to the police.
Galle District Crime Division is conducting further investigations to find the main suspects involved in the shooting and the firearms utilised for the crime, according to the Police headquarters.
