The Samagi Jana Balawegaya secured the power of the Hiriyala Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society.
Four members from the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, two members from the National People's Power, and one member from the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna were elected.
The election to choose the new chairman and the board of directors of the association took place today.
Both the positions of chairman and vice chairman of the association were won by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya.
Seven members are elected to the board of directors from its general assembly, which consists of 100 members.
