Strong winds forecast for multiple regions

The Department of Meteorology says that strong winds with speeds of 40 to 50 km/h may occur intermittently across several areas countrywide.

Accordingly, strong winds are expected in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Northern, and North Central Provinces, as well as in the Trincomalee and Hambantota Districts, the department stated.

In addition, other parts of the island may also experience fairly strong winds ranging between 30 and 40 km/h from time to time, the warning further stated.
