Several spells of showers may occur today in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-Western provinces and in the Galle, Matara, Kandy, and Nuwara Eliya districts.
The Department of Meteorology announced this in a statement issued today.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Mullaitivu, Ampara, and Batticaloa districts after 2:00 p.m.
Strong winds gusting up to 40 to 50 kilometres per hour may occur from time to time on the western slopes of the central hills, in the North-Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces, and in the Monaragala, Puttalam, Hambantota, Trincomalee, and Mannar districts.
