Chief Judicial Prelate of Kotmale Niyangamdora Pagnananda thera passes away

The Chief Judicial Prelate of the Kotmale region, Chief Incumbent of the Pancha Maha Vihara, Saddharma Keerthi Sri Karmacharya, Praveenacharya Venerable Niyangamdora Pagnananda thera passed away.

The late Niyangamdora Pagnananda thera engaged in a special religious mission as the retired principal of the Kotmale Ambatalawa Pragna Pradeepa Pirivena and the president of the Kotmale Sasanarakshaka Balamandalaya.

Providing leadership to numerous religious programmes, the thera took the initiative to contribute a virtuous generation of pupils to the Maha Sangha for the advancement of the Sasana.

The cremation ceremony of the late prelate will take place on July 15 at 2 p.m. at the Public Grounds in Kotmale new town.
