Cyber audit warns of Parliament system vulnerabilities

The annual performance report for 2025 reveals a serious risk of a cyber attack targeting the information technology and digital systems of the Parliament of Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team conducted a special evaluation of the Parliament's information and cybersecurity status during the reviewed year.

Out of 56 technical and security aspects examined, 46 show high vulnerability levels.

Crimes such as sensitive information theft and website content distortion to damage institutional reputation may occur.

The audit observes that urgent attention and necessary security measures are required due to potential impacts from these cybersecurity weaknesses.
