The Presidential Secretariat sent an official letter responding to a request by the Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) for full video recordings of a meeting held with the President on August 12.
The letter, signed by Prasanna Perera, Director General of the President's Media Division, states that unedited video recordings of the official statements made by the President of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka were provided to the association on 12 August itself.
The Director General further states that recordings containing the remarks and comments of other participants present at the meeting will be provided as soon as possible, subject to relevant official procedures.
Furthermore, the letter emphasises that the President's Office always provides full cooperation to ensure the proper and formal release of the relevant video footage.
