Colombo Additional Magistrate Liyan Varushavithana ordered four private commercial bank managers arrested by the Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division to remain in remand custody until August 20 today (17) regarding the illegal transfer of one billion US dollars abroad through a money exchange institution located in Fort without importing any goods to Sri Lanka.
Authorities confirmed the arrests followed a special investigation conducted by the Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division after presenting the suspects before the court.
