Hot weather expected in several areas

The Department of Meteorology stated that hot weather will prevail tomorrow in the Eastern and North Central provinces, as well as in the Jaffna, Kilinochchi, Vavuniya, Mullaitivu, and Monaragala districts.

Accordingly, the department announced that the heat felt by the human body during the daytime in certain areas of the relevant districts could be at a level that requires attention.

Meanwhile, the Department of Meteorology mentioned that several spells of rain may occur in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as in the Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts during the next 36 hours.
