The Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (IRCSL) will host the “InsureChamp 2025”, the Inter-University Insurance Quiz Competition, under the theme “Empowering the Future Insurance Leaders” on November 20, 2025, from 1.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. at BMICH.
This national-level quiz competition aims to bring together undergraduates from state, semi-government, and recognized higher education institutions across the island to enhance their knowledge and understanding of insurance and financial literacy.
It seeks to inspire a new generation of youth to appreciate the importance of insurance as a foundation of financial security and national resilience.
Universities and Higher Educational Institutions under the purview of the University Grants Commission (UGC), degree-awarding institutions recognized by the UGC, and other government universities and institutes established by Acts of Parliament of Sri Lanka were invited to nominate one (01) team to participate in the competition.
As of today, 19 universities/institutions have confirmed their participation, reflecting a highly competitive and encouraging response from the academic community across the country.
The quiz will cover a wide spectrum of topics, including general and life insurance, financial literacy, current affairs, and logical reasoning. Attractive cash prizes will be awarded to winners under the categories of Champion, 1st Runner-Up, 2nd Runner-Up, and a Special Award for Spirit of Teamwork. All participants will receive Certificates of Participation from the IRCSL.
Through InsureChamp 2025, the IRCSL aims to promote financial literacy, risk awareness, and teamwork while strengthening the connection between the youth, academia, and the insurance industry.
