England defeated Sri Lanka by 87 runs in the opening match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

Batting first, England posted a commanding total of 219 for 1 in their 20 overs.

In response, Sri Lanka was bowled out for 132 runs in 20 overs.

Sri Lanka’s next match in the tournament is scheduled for the 16th against New Zealand.
