Sumeda Ranasinghe wins bronze in javelin throw in India

Sri Lanka’s Sumeda Ranasinghe won the bronze medal in the men’s javelin throw event at the World Athletics Silver Level Continental Tour 2026 held in India.

He secured this victory by throwing the javelin a distance of 80.29 metres.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka’s Dilhani Lekamge won the silver medal in the women’s javelin throw event.

She secured this victory by throwing the javelin a distance of 58.98 metres.
