Veteran actress Sumana Amarasinghe bids farewell to life

Veteran actress Sumana Amarasinghe has passed away.

She was 74 years old at the time of her death.

Sumana Amarasinghe was a celebrated actress in the field of Sri Lankan cinema and teledrama and also worked as a Production Manager.

Denipitiya Vithanage Sumana Amarasinghe, made her cinematic debut with the film 'Pipena Kumudu' directed by Ruby de Mel.

She was married to Roy de Silva.

She co-starred in a number of films with her husband Roy de Silva.

She, who won the Sarasaviya Merit Award for her performance in 'Kadawunu Poronduwa'.
