MP Thondaman to marry an Indian doctor

Nuwara Eliya district Member of Parliament Jeevan Thondaman will marry on November 23.

His bride will be Seethai Sri Naatchiyar, a doctor from Chennai, India.

According to reports, the wedding ceremony will take place throughout the day on the 23rd in Chennai, India.

Thondaman's bride is the granddaughter of Arumugam Pillai, a renowned Indian entrepreneur, politician, and philanthropist.

Pillai received high respect and honour in both India and Malaysia.

Jeevan Thondaman, the only son of the late former minister and leader of the Ceylon Workers' Congress (CWC), Arumugam Thondaman, is currently the CWC's General Secretary and serves as a Member of Parliament for the Nuwara Eliya District in the Sri Lankan Parliament.

A CWC spokesperson stated that many politicians from Sri Lanka and India have been invited to the 31-year-old Thondaman's wedding ceremony, including former Sri Lankan Presidents Ranil Wickremesinghe and Mahinda Rajapaksa, along with other dignitaries.

Reports indicate that after the wedding ceremony in India, Thondaman will arrange a wedding reception for friends and party supporters in Colombo and at the CWC headquarters in Kotagala.
