Graduates currently employed in the state sector can begin applying online today, February 5, for the competitive examination to fill teaching vacancies in national and provincial schools. The application window for these candidates opened at 9:00 a.m. today and will remain active until 9:00 p.m. on February 19.
Graduates who are not currently in government service will have a separate application period. They can submit their applications online starting from 9:00 a.m. on February 20 until 9:00 p.m. on March 5.
The Ministry of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education issued two gazette notifications detailing these recruitment steps. This announcement follows a recent hunger strike held in front of the Presidential Secretariat by School Development Officers, who have served over seven years and are demanding absorption into the teaching service.
According to the gazette notifications, the following age requirements apply:
State sector graduates: Must not have exceeded 45 years of age as of February 10, 2023.
Non-state sector graduates: Must not have exceeded 40 years of age as of February 10, 2023.
