The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education has issued a statement clarifying the number of school days scheduled until August 7 for students sitting the upcoming G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination.
Accordingly, the ministry has instructed education authorities, including provincial secretaries and zonal directors of education, to ensure that the entire A/L syllabus is fully covered and that students are properly prepared for the examination.
If any school is behind in completing the syllabus, authorities have been directed to implement a prior plan and, if necessary, use additional time to ensure full coverage.
The ministry further noted that due to recent disaster conditions and the declaration of a Wednesday as a public holiday, A/L students have already lost around 15 school days.
