India's Aditya Birla Group has proposed investing an additional $1.26 billion to triple the capacity of its Kansariguda alumina refinery in Odisha to 3 million metric tons per annum, the state government said on Saturday.
The expansion, to be executed by the group entity Hindalco Industries (HALC.NS), opens new tab, takes the total proposed investment in the refinery to about $2.1 billion, the statement said.
