Several spells of rain may occur today (4), across the Northern, North-Central, Eastern, and Uva provinces, as well as the Nuwara Eliya and Matale districts, according to a statement from the Department of Meteorology.
Isolated showers or thundershowers might develop after 2:00 PM in parts of the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, along with the Galle and Matara districts.
Additionally, misty conditions are expected in some areas of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Central provinces, as well as the Galle, Matara, and Badulla districts during the early morning hours.
The department urges the public to take necessary precautions to minimise risks from lightning and temporary strong winds that may accompany thundershowers.
