Senior administrative officer Prabath Chandrakeerthi received an appointment as the Presidential Chief of Staff.
Currently serving as the Commissioner of Essential Services, he is expected to assume his new duties shortly.
Since joining the administrative service in 2000, he held several key positions, including Commissioner General of Labour and Director General of Coast Conservation.
His career also includes service as the Secretary to the Ministries of Environment and Plantations.
