Heat index expected to reach 'Caution' level tomorrow

The heat index—the temperature felt by the human body—could rise to a 'Caution' level in several areas tomorrow (8), according to the Department of Meteorology.

This condition is expected to prevail in certain locations within the Sabaragamuwa, North-Western, and North-Central provinces.

Additionally, parts of the Colombo, Gampaha, Vavuniya, Mannar, Hambantota, and Monaragala districts will likely experience this increased heat.
