In June, authorities filed 634 onsite cases on charges of inaction to destroy mosquitoe breeding grounds.
Public Health Inspectors stated that legal actions were taken against 494 houses, 134 government and private institutions, four schools, and two religious sites.
Fines amounting to 10.225 million rupees were imposed on those filed cases.
Public Health Inspectors stated that these individuals and institutions were traced following raids that were conducted within the Colombo District area last month.
